Surviving Canada for a Decade - The Breaking Point

Many of you know me from my journey here in Sweden, but before the cottage, and this new chapter, there was Canada. 13 years of it. In 2012, I left Germany for what was supposed to be a simple, one-year "Work and Travel" vacation to escape a stressful job. I arrived in Vancouver with no plan, ended up surfing in freezing January waters, and eventually took a Greyhound bus into the deepest, coldest parts of Canada's North: the Yukon. For over a decade, the Yukon was my home. I bought a trailer in the woods, drove a tiny 125cc motorcycle 5,000 km across the country, survived brutal winter cycles, and rescued my incredible dog, Vicky. It was an adventure of a lifetime—but it also came with a breaking point.
