The Closing That Never Was In 2008, Boomerang was at the height of its youthful era, with series like H2O: Just Add Water and so many others, but the community was clamoring for the return of the original Boomerang. And after much persistence, the wish was finally granted: the creation of a channel called Tooncast was announced, Turner's new channel that would bring back all the classic series from Boomerang, Cartoon Network, and many more. A dream come true! But who would this new channel replace? We thought it would be Retro, and we got ready to record it... but the channel continued. And that's where this video comes in, originally part of "A Nighttime Salad of 2008," but which I cut at the time to include the segment in the April video. I ultimately didn't upload that version of the April video.
