राजपूताना राइफल्स भारतीय सेना की सबसे पुरानी राइफल रेजिमेंट है। यह मूल रूप से ब्रिटिश भारतीय सेना का एक हिस्सा थी। 1947 में रेजिमेंट को नव स्वतंत्र भारतीय सेना में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया। स्वतंत्रता के बाद से, रेजिमेंट पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ कई संघर्षों में शामिल रही है, साथ ही 1953-54 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र के तत्वावधान में कोरिया में कस्टोडियन फोर्स (भारत) और 1962 में कांगो में संयुक्त राष्ट्र मिशन में योगदान दिया है। The Rajputana Rifles is the oldest rifle regiment of the Indian Army. It was originally a part of the British Indian Army. In 1947 the regiment was transferred to the newly independent Indian Army. Since independence, the regiment has been involved in a number of conflicts against Pakistan, as well as contributing to the Custodian Force (India) in Korea under the aegis of the United Nations in 1953–54 and to the UN Mission to the Congo in 1962.
