Craig Melvin BREAKS SILENCE On 'Today' Intruder In 1st On-Air Remarks
Craig Melvin has spoken out on-air for the first time since his "Today" show scare. It all started on July 16 when an intruder allegedly breached security and shouted at Melvin. The anchor addressed the incident on the following morning's broadcast, surrounded by his "Today" family. The suspect is Andrew Truelove, 41. According to the Manhattan District Attorney's office, he was charged with two felonies and has pleaded not guilty to burglary in the third degree as a hate crime and menacing in the third degree as a hate crime. Reportedly, a judge issued a protective order requiring Truelove to stay away from Melvin and "Today" meteorologist Al Roker.
