2 Shawls in One! How to Knit a Reversible Knit Shawl Pattern for Beginners! - Felicity
Hello, beautiful soul! I'm so excited to share our gorgeous, new Felicity shawl with you! This cozy, reversible knit shawl features a simple two-stitch, six-row repeat that creates a beautiful two-color fabric with a surprise hidden inside. By simply reversing your color placement, the opposite side becomes the star of the show, giving you two stunning looks in one design. In today's step-by-step tutorial, I'll show you how to get started knitting Felicity and demonstrate the stitches, techniques, and color changes used throughout the pattern. ✨ Download the Felicity shawl pattern: https://expressionfiberarts.com/produ... 🧶 Shop Expression Fiber Arts worsted-weight yarns: https://expressionfiberarts.com/categ... ✨ Find more worsted-weight patterns here: https://expressionfiberarts.com/categ... Felicity is a soothing, meditative knit that feels both cozy and elegant. The fabric is created using an easy-to-memorize two-stitch, six-row repeat that quickly becomes rhythmic and relaxing to work. One of my favorite things about this design is its reversible nature. On one side, a color takes center stage while the second color peeks through beneath it. Turn the shawl over, and the relationship reverses, creating an entirely different look from the same stitches. It's almost like getting two shawls in one! In today's tutorial, I'll show you how to get started knitting Felicity and walk you through the stitches and color changes you'll need to confidently create your own beautiful version. Felicity is knitted with both our Buttery Worsted and Pearlescent Worsted yarns. Buttery Worsted is a wonderfully soft 100% Superwash Merino Wool yarn, while Pearlescent Worsted is a luminous blend of 50% Superwash Merino Wool and 50% Mulberry Silk. Together, they create a gorgeous interplay of texture, softness, and subtle shimmer. The sample shown here was knitted with our Night Sailing Hues 4-Skein Kit, which includes two skeins of Inky Indigo Buttery Worsted (Color A) and two skeins of Stargaze Pearlescent Worsted (Color B), and used approximately 840 yds / 768 m total. I hope you enjoy every peaceful stitch of this lovely project and discover the quiet joy hidden within its simple repeats.
