The wolf pup highway: May to October

This particular spot seemed to be wolf pup highway in late summer. And these pups seemed to really enjoy chewing on our camera...you can hear them rasping away in several videos. Fortunately, the camera was just fine and we got some wonderful data on the Half-Moon Pack from this camera! Based on data from this camera and others, the Half-Moon Pack had 4 pups alive in late summer and all were still alive as of late fall. We think that all 4 pups are still alive to this day but will have to confirm once we collect all our winter trail camera footage in spring! Successfully raising 4 pups is pretty darn good for wolves in our area! We also included highlights from this camera during May to October. This camera was just south of Lake Kabetogama in Voyageurs National Park, which experienced historic flooding last summer. We almost lost this camera to that flood as you can see! But, because we did not, we got some neat footage of the flood and wildlife—like a bull moose wading through the water and beavers swimming by the camera. Enjoy!
