Amplats sells Rustenburg mines to Sibanye for R4.5 billion
Mining giant Anglo American has announced the sale of three platinum mines in South Africa to Sibanye Gold for 4.5 billion rand. Sibanye is the country's biggest gold producer. These comes as the platinum industry struggles with falling prices and industrial unrest.
