Kenya Boy (1984) - Drama LP Magnetic Audio Mix vs. Optical Audio Mix

LP [0:00] Optical Audio [6:16] I never was fond of drama LPs at all, but recently I've had a change of heart and have begun looking into acquiring certain drama LPs for certain anime titles. The reason being? There are various anime movies that use really shitty optical audio sourced from the film reels on all known releases, be it VHS/LD/DVD/BD/etc... However, some of those movies have drama LPs, and shockingly enough, the magnetic audio was actually kept and used for said LP releases. Is it in stereo? Well, no. It's still mono, but the audio is incredibly clear and a HUGE improvement over the optical audio tracks any day of the week. As such, I've been planning on grabbing these drama LPs for the purpose of recording them and seeing if they can be stitched onto the movie. For today's example: the first 5-6 minutes of Toei Animation's "Kenya Boy" from 1984. This LP uses both stereo & mono audio—mono for the dialogue & SFX, and stereo for all of the music. Most drama LPs are just typically mono only so this certainly caught me by surprise. Furthermore...the LP mix of the movie isn't entirely the same as the original optical audio mix. Different SFX on the LP mix, different volumes for SFX that are present on both the LP & optical mixes, and even the music isn't 100% the same either—this can be noted when the movie's title logo shows up. The optical mix added in some short synths(?) and briefly changed the music to something else before switching back to the movie's introduction main theme. I haven't yet checked if the LP actually contains the whole movie, let alone if it can even be successfully stitched to it. I'm hoping it can, though—Kenya Boy isn't a perfect movie by all means but it certainly benefits from an audio upgrade, if possible.
