JOLIE SYLVIE VARTAN / MASTER CLASS / PARIS FRANCE / EXCLUSIF ACTIVITÉ / 12 MAI 2026

Sylvie Vartan's masterclass. 12.05.2026 PARIS FRANCE! Paris convention center. (an event dedicated to the artist's life, career, and family) My thoughts on the even: I knew in advance (I'll admit it) that it wouldn't exactly be a concert, but rather a creative evening — a masterclass. Although even that type of event I imagined somewhat differently. I was sure Sylvie would sing more, walk around the stage, interact live with the audience. But from the 8:40 PM start, that didn't really happen. There were many songs and instrumental pieces from her repertoire performed by the orchestra. On the projector, they showed clips from her career: photos, videos, old performances. In my opinion — and this is just my personal view — there was too much of that. You can find such videos on YouTube and watch them at home. Not all of them, but most of them, definitely. They weren't revealing anything new: everyone has the internet, and that part, to my taste, was clearly overdone — we didn't come to a cinema. Sylvie herself came on stage — energetically, she speaks clearly and vividly, but the feeling was strange. Especially when you don't understand French well ( There was also a "viewer questions" segment: the host pulls envelopes with letters from a secret box, reads the questions, and Sylvie answers. In theory, it's a great idea, but… somehow there was too little music, and I really wanted more of her, live, here and now. She tries, answers questions, sort of interacts with the audience, it's all fine, but I so dreamed of hearing her voice live. And what's the conclusion? She didn't sing a single song. Well… of course, that's odd. Even artificial intelligence told me there was a 60% chance that at least one song would be performed at such events. And in the end? Nothing. I was so looking forward to hearing at least one LA MARITZA song. All the songs were only in the video clips from the past — projected onto the screen. It felt like a concert that never happened. Now — no offense to Sylvie, I in no way want to insult her. But honestly, my rating for the event is 5/10, and even if I knew French perfectly, I still wouldn't give it higher than 6.6/10. Everything was great: the sound was good, the artist is fully healthy and sharp, but there were issues, and they were significant. If she had sung one or two of her old hits, I might have given it, say, 7.8 out of 10. But alas. Since I don't lie and try to be honest with you (and most importantly — with myself), I'm telling it like it is. Of course, I'm glad I went, but I expected more. But still, Sylvie, thank you for a wonderful evening. 🔔 SUBSCRIBE for more honest concert reviews.
