Why and Why not ? | Exploring the CJP Protest beyond Headlines

On 6th June, I visited Jantar Mantar to understand the protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). Instead of chasing viral moments, famous faces, or creating outrage-driven content, I chose to spend time on the ground listening to people from all sides of the conversation. What I witnessed was a mix of hope, frustration, and skepticism. On one hand, it was encouraging to see young people stepping forward, raising questions, and actively participating in the democratic process. The energy, passion, and willingness to speak up reflected a generation that is not afraid to voice its concerns. On the other hand, several people I spoke with expressed doubts about the long-term intentions of CJP. Some supporters believe it has the potential to bring meaningful change, while critics worry that it could eventually follow the same path as many political movements before it, with comparisons being made to the early days of the Aam Aadmi Party. This video is not an endorsement or criticism of any political organization. It is an attempt to document what people on the ground are thinking, feeling, and debating. A special mention to the Delhi Police personnel present at the site. Despite the large gathering, the event remained largely peaceful and organized. The police played an important role in maintaining order, ensuring public safety, and removing disruptive elements when required.
