For more information, see https://tasvideos.org/3904M TAS originally published on 2019-02-18 The Sonic games for the Sega Master System and the Game Gear are much less well known than their Genesis/Mega Drive counterparts and have a reputation for being quite challenging, especially in handheld form. You'd never know this from the speed Sonic blazes through the game here. Unlike later 8-bit Sonic games, there are significant differences in levels between the SMS version and the Game Gear version. The SMS version was primarily used, due to much shorter score screens. Thanks to better strategies, The8bitbeast ( https://tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/T... ) improved his predecessor movie ( https://tasvideos.org/3156M ) by 36.43 seconds. It only appears to be a 26.08 second improvement, but the timing of the previous TAS did not include the BIOS, which loses 10.35 seconds.
