Please Be Kind - Garlitsky (V/V), Dunayevski & Castelluzzo (g), Chang (b) - Faculty Music @ DiJ

On Tuesday night of the Django in June '22 gypsy jazz music education camp, the ~200 attendees were invited to an auditorium on Smith college campus for orientation. The camp director interspersed faculty music performances with COVID safety messages. An interesting attempt to keep music students attention (though most were ultimately pretty lax on precautions). "Please Be Kind" is a 1938 American song composed by Saul Chaplin with lyrics by Sammy Cahn. Popular recordings that year were by Mildred Bailey and the Red Norvo Orchestra; Bob Crosby & His Orchestra (vocal by Kay Weber); and by Benny Goodman & His Orchestra (vocal by Martha Tilton). Daniel Garlitsky sings and plays violin/fiddle. Duved Dunayevsky plays lead guitar and after his solos, Charlie Castelluzzo takes one. Denis Chang on bass, keeping it all together.
