Produced by Hibiki ________________________________________ ■ 今回の動画について / About this video 居合において、 構えは技の始まりであり、納刀と残心は技の終わりです。 しかし、その始まりと終わりは、 別々に存在しているものではありません。 構えが整えば、身体も心も刀の流れも澄みます。 そして納刀と残心が整えば、次の構えはさらに深まっていきます。 納刀とは、ただ刀を鞘に納めることではありません。 次の発刀へとつながる、静かな始まりでもあります。 また、残心とは、技が終わった後も心を切らさず、 倒れた相手への敬意と弔いの心を忘れずにいることです。 そしてその残心は、 還りゆく刀と共にあるべきものだと考えています。 この動画では、構え、納刀、残心を通して、 居合における始まりと終わり、 そしてその円環が人生の流れを整えることについてお話しします。 In Iaido, kamae marks the beginning of a technique, while nōtō and zanshin mark its ending. Yet this beginning and ending do not exist separately. When kamae is settled, the body, the heart, and the flow of the sword become still and clear. And when nōtō and zanshin are settled, the next kamae deepens even further. Nōtō is not merely the act of returning the sword to the saya. It is also a quiet beginning, leading toward the next Hattō. Zanshin means not allowing the heart to be severed, even after the technique is over. It is the heart that does not forget respect and consolation for the opponent who has fallen. And I believe that zanshin must remain together with the returning sword.
