FDWB - How Square Balers Work
A friend's daughter asked how square bales are made. This is a basic explanation of the square baler's process. The baler I am using is a New Idea 7120 inline square baler. Fast and consistent. It does about 100 strokes per minute and we have pushed it to the 450 bales per hour range. If there are long rows and no mechanical hiccups, 450 is an easy mark to hit.
