Packing for a motorcycle adventure is a challenge. Here are 5 items I like to pack!

As a long-distance motorcycle traveler who likes to find remote roads and wild-camp in the middle of nowhere, I find myself constantly challenged on keeping my luggage light. Heavy luggage is just no fun when you venture off the beaten track, and the road is a bit more difficult. On the other hand, you need your camping gear to make it happen. Unlike shorter motorcycle trips from home, you can not optimise your luggage for each ride. When you are on a long-distance motorcycle adventure, you end up carrying clothes for all kinds of weather and stuff you will need along the way, spare-parts, paperwork, etc. On my first big trip from Alaska to Argentina, riding 40.000 km's through 15 countries, I realised how annoying it was to ride with a heavy load. It would really affect how much I enjoyed the ride. On my current trip, I ride solo, so far 82.000 km's through 40 countries. And now more than ever is keeping my luggage to a minimum important for me. Therefore, my usual advice is to get rid of stuff. But in this episode, I want to speak about 5 things that I am really happy to carry with me, either because I use it all the time or because they keep me safe. The safety items are important to me, as they make me comfortable going to remote places and wild-camping for a few days or go on that challenging route that scare me a little. Stay tuned to the end, where I add a 6th item. This was a strong recommendation from a very experiences traveller uwe Schmidt from South Africa. Thanks Uwe for this great advice. #motovlog #fortheloveofwheels #motorcycleadventure #hondamotorcycles #Camping #tent #packing #lightweight #Must
