Start by taking the train to Chumsaeng Railway Station in Nakhon Sawan Province, then continue on to Phichit Railway Station, and finally reach Nakhon Lampang Station. 📍Wat Phra That Lampang Luang ⭐️ An important royal temple in Lampang Province. 🍁 Now that you're in Lampang, don't forget to pay your respects 🙏🏻 at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. It was a very hot day 🔥 I arrived at the temple at 9 a.m. and the sun was still shining, making me sweat profusely! 😅 The temple is located in Lampang Luang Subdistrict, Ko Kha District, Lampang Province, approximately 18 kilometers southwest of Lampang City. The temple sits on a high hill. The chedi is stunning and one of the most complete in Thailand. Inside the pavilion are ancient paintings, some of which are very old, all along the walls. It's also the chedi for the Year of the Ox (Cow) 🐮. I was born in the Year of the Tiger 🐯 and paid my respects 😁 You can rent a car from the city, but I chose to charter a car. My method for chartering a car was after using Grab Car 🚕 in the city center, I asked the contact 📞 if they could take me there. We could only request a ride there, but on the return trip, the temple is outside the city center, so there would be no return ride. This place was the highlight of my visit to Lampang. It's a famous and incredibly beautiful temple. The Buddha image is a replica of the Great Buddha, originally from Japan. It's the second-largest Buddha image in Japan, and is over 800 years old. It's a sacred object for the Japanese people. At Wat Phra That Doi Phra Chan, the large green Buddha image, made from 2-millimeter-thick copper, stands prominently on the summit of Doi Phra Chan. The final stretch of the road is a narrow but not too steep climb, but the temple provides free transportation (donations are voluntary). Furthermore, in the courtyard below the Buddha image, there are restaurants, souvenir shops, and shops selling signs for writing wishes and even rain-repelling dolls for visitors to write on and then post in designated areas.
