Therefore, when a promise is broken, we want to hold the one who broke it accountable. The people refused to listen to God's word and followed other gods. He protected the remnant and left the way open for recovery. Even in the midst of a broken covenant, God continued to keep His promise. Jesus is the Word and the fulfillment of God's covenant. Remember the faithful love of God who never abandons us.
