My brillant character, Elowen Bodhmall, and I begin our first real session of Baldur’s Gate 3! We go from crashing ships to strange beaches to a very messy early battle, where the combat system endlessly confuses me. But somehow, I live another day in this world, wanting to play more. At the end of this video, my daughter sits down with me to watch my first "big" battle and coach me on everything I did wrong (and there was A LOT lol). Btw, sorry about the mic quality at this portion of the video. Evidently these lavalier mics we used aren't the greatest quality. I did my best to clean up the audio quality in Davinci Resolve but there was only so much I could do. Ya live, ya learn, amiright? This is a first, story‑focused playthrough from a middle‑aged mom with zero DnD experience. I’m here to puzzle through the rules, get frustrated, laugh at myself, and slowly figure out why people sink hundreds of hours into this world and these characters. My daughter has been a DnD player and Baldur’s Gate 3 fan since middle school and is now a dungeon master in her last year at home before college. This whole series is my love letter to her and my way of finally stepping into the world she loves.
