HMS Indomitable - "Sweepers, Man Your Brooms."
The Illustrious-class of aircraft carrier is probably best known for one thing. Being ridiculously hard to put down. (well, that and the never ending argument of 'were armored carriers better?', but I digress) From Illustrious, to Victorious and Formidable, these ships took some pretty severe damage and kept on going. And the fourth sister, Indomitable, is no different. She suffered some pretty severe damage at several points, but the ship continued to serve on. Right into the 1950s, as it turned out. And had it not been for an unfortunate accident...well, she still probably wouldn't have been rebuilt. Not with how expensive Vicky got. But there was at least the potential there.
