Grow Mushrooms with Mycrodex Mushrooms 🍄 ✨ The MycoGeeky Podcast

In our first segment, join us and our guest, Shay of Mycrodex Mushrooms, on The MycoGeeky Podcast to discuss his new whirlwind passion for growing mushrooms. He started growing in the Summer of 2021 after buying a Lion's Mane grow kit and became instantly hooked after tasting it and feeling the medicinal benefits. He worked as a Chef until being furloughed during COVID, which gave him a lot of time to think/play with cultivation ever since. Now, he's focused on creating easily digestible educational content on YouTube and Instagram while trying to spread the good word about mushrooms. He hopes he's able to bring some of the joy he's experienced to others. In our second segment, Behind the Veil, we will sit down with James Cruz to discuss his Lucid Gates cultigen, one of the sleeper cultigens in the community. In our third segment, Mushroom Ethics, we will continue exploring the possibility of developing a code of ethics for the community, and discussing what ethical behavior should look like within our community. Our fourth segment is Deep Science, featuring Edward Grand. We will continue exploring mushroom identification using molecular tools, specifically how Sanger sequencing the ITS region can be used to identify mushrooms at the species level through BLAST and MEGA 11 software.
