Hobart suburban line sees trains again, Tasmania, Feb 2026
Travel along the old Hobart suburban line that has not seen regular passenger trains since 1978. The Tasmanian Transport Museum has started running trains over this approximately 3 kilometre section of line and are working toward further extensions of the the line in the future. This is a great step forward and exciting for the people of Tasmania. The plan is to run from Glenorchy toward Granton but how great it would be to be able to ride the train into the heart of Hobart again and leave the traffic headaches behind. #train #driverseyeview #tasmania https://tasmaniantransportmuseum.com.au/
