Three beekeepers turned this job down!
This incredible open-air hive was so dangerous that three beekeepers turned it down—but I couldn’t let that stop me. Perched 30 feet up on an office building, this massive colony had been there for years, even surviving a maintenance man’s attempt to blast them away with a pressure washer! When I arrived, I quickly realized why this hive was considered “impossible.” Despite the challenges—tight spaces, a lift that couldn’t quite reach, and combs dropping 30 feet—I was determined to save as many bees as possible. Using an extension scraper and a vacuum, we removed two full buckets of bees and a deep box of brood. But did we get the queen? Watch to find out how this daring rescue ends!
