Following the earthquakes of June 24th in Venezuela, on July 9th, 2026, Acting President Dency Rodríguez inspected the Bolivarian Army's operations center located at the golf course in the Caraballeda parish, Caribe sector, in La Guaira state. From this command post, deployment and assistance efforts are being coordinated in the most vulnerable areas affected by the disaster in La Guaira state, such as Caraballeda and Tanaguarena. During the visit, the Acting President was accompanied by the Minister of People's Power for Defense, General Gustavo González López; the Commanding General of the Bolivarian Army, Major General Rubén Darío Belzares Escobar; Major General Juan Ernesto Sulbarán Quintero, the sole authority and Chief of Staff for the emergency response; and Juan José Ramírez, Vice President for Public Works and Services.
