SHANTI (Season-2) has been dedicated to Tabla Maestro Pandit Subhankar Banerjee, who was an integral part of our foundation. His untimely demise has left all of us in a huge state of shock. Anjishnu Mukherjee - Tabla Solo Hiranmay Mitra - Harmonium The 1st episode was Midnight Raagas and we began with a Tabla Solo by young Anjishnu Mukherjee who was accompanied by Shri Hiranmoy Mitra on the harmonium. One of the brightest students of Music, Anjishnu belongs from a musical family. His Mother Smt. Indrani Mukherjee is a leading vocalist of India and his Father Sri Apurba Mukherjee is a reputed Tabla player, with whom Anjishnu started learning Tabla at the age of 6. From 2014 he has started learning from the great Tabla Maestro Pandit Arup Chattopadhyay. In 2017 Anjishnu got cultural talent search scholarship from CCRT, Government of India. Anjishnu got First position in Harivallav Sangeet Pratiyogita (Jalandhar), Murari Smriti Music Competition (Kolkata) to name a few. In the educational side, Anjishnu passed ICSE examination in 2020 (Class 10) with 94% Marks and now he is in Class 12 (Science) at St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata.
