The SECRET to Catching Salmon on the Niagara River (You Need to Try This!)
In this episode of the Outsiders, Noah and Mark show you how to catch salmon the right way. When we first started to fish the Niagara River for salmon, we used to floss for them unknowingly. We thought that by using a heavy weight, long leader, and a Mr. Twister, the salmon were actually biting. Now, after learning more about these fish, we realized that technique wasn’t getting them to strike — we were just snagging them as they held in the current. Over time, we figured out how to trigger real bites by matching their behavior, using the right presentation, and focusing on reaction strikes instead of lining them. In this video, we’ll show you what actually works to get these salmon to bite.
