I like personnifying depression with shimmer-eyed Jinx. There's a part 2-5 coming for this video and I needed people to understand my take before I post them. This song is really hard to listen to for everyone who relates to it, and NF made it in such a way that you can't really tell who won the fight at the end, but if you've been dealing with deep depression all your life you kinda know who did. I tried my best to match the song to Jinx and I had such a hard time editing this but learned a lot while doing it! Hope you enjoyed! Context : I decided to personnify Depression with shimmer-eyed Jinx right from the start and this song was just perfect for the story I wanted to tell. The Duality between her past-self/Powder/Jinx has been so beautifully depicted in the show that it matched the song perfectly as it showed all the forms Depression could take - how it increases anxiety, paranoia, PTSD or mental disorders, and makes you push away the people you love the most. Jinx was already struggling with such issues when she was a child but all that happened just made it worse and it's like that Monster/Fear/Depression inside her grew bigger throughout the years along with her PTSD untill it ate her alive and took control no matter how hard she tried to fight against it. It really matched what NF's been depicting in his songs. Side note : since this is a very old edit I didn't know how to edit Jinx's eyes perfectly at the time and it also turned her hair pink, but like you could see on some of my more recent videos I know how to do it better now lol.
