Porter Swims With A "Devil Ray" | Flipper

Bud (Tommy Norden) and Sandy (Luke Halpin) are scared of the "devil ray," but Porter (Brian Kelly) shows how harmless manta rays actually are. Season 3, Episode 25 Flipper befriends a manta ray whose appearance terrorizes divers swimming in Coral Key Park. Ranger Ricks believes the ray harmless and rides the huge creature beneath the surface to demonstrate. When the Ranger is ordered to destroy the manta, he compromises by capturing the ray and removing it to the Gulf Stream area. Because of this, Flipper thinks his human friends betrayed him.
