**MATERIALS: Blick Studio Paint Winsor Newton acrylic slow dry medium Paper palettes Food container ( to keep the paint dry slower) MIXING RATIOS FOR SECONDARY COLORS and TERTIARY COLORS: -True/Balanced Orange: Mix 1 part red + 2 parts yellow Because red is overpowering, this will give you a nice, standard middle orange. -Red-Orange: Mix 2 parts red + 1 part yellow -Yellow-Orange: Mix 1 part red + 3 or 4 parts yellow. -Violet: 3 parts Ultramarine Blue + 1 part Alizarin Crimson -Violet mixed with blue and warm reds: Reds with orange undertones (like Cadmium Red Light) will neutralize your mix and create a muddy, brown-purple and orange is the complementary color of blue. Mid-Tone Green: 1 part Yellow (yellow cad light) +1 part Ultramarine Blue. -Yellow green: 2 parts Yellow (yellow cad light) + 1 part Ultramarine Blue. -Blue green: 1 part of yellow + 2 parts of blue Use warm yellow (yellow cad medium/ deep) with warm blue will create warmer green.
