This video entitles, How I would explain Calculus to a 6th grader attempts to explain and introduce Calculus for Beginners. Calculus has a reputation for being difficult, so teaching Calculus for 6th graders surely would create a chorus of complaints. This video aims at demystifying calculus by first discussing the two main concepts of calculus - integrals and derivatives, and why students' understanding of infinity and infinitesimal is the key to understanding what really calculus is. That is also the key to developing these lessons on Calculus for beginners In calculus, the devil is in the details, but the key concepts can be understood by 6th graders. We do not claim that students can learn calculus in this one video. What we suggest is it helps to demystify calculus first before jumping to the detailed study of it to help students get a better view of what they are going to study for years.
