The most beautiful image of the evening was walking hand in hand with former president Barbara Bandiera toward the Palaravizza stand, with fans chanting and waving banners in his honor. Oscar Schmidt bids farewell to "his" Pavia, in the PalaRavizza where he played in incredible matches for Fernet Branca. On the court, Oscar also reunited with his old teammates, who shared with him the dream of promotion to Serie A1 in the 1990-91 season. During the evening, Oscar reminisced about his three-year tenure with Fernet Branca, between 1990 and 1993, but also spoke about his illness and how he coped with the cancer he contracted in 2011. He then met and took the customary photo with the players from Riso Scotti, who play in Serie B. The final image is the incredible farewell from his fans: the "Mao Santa" has once again made Pavia dream.
