My curiosity led me here, and it turned out that Troy used to be a place full of layers…history, myths, and stories that still live on today. With the help of a guide, everything made so much more sense, from the archaeological ruins to the legends behind the Trojan War. And yes… I even got to see the iconic wooden horse from the movie Troy (2004) and stand beside it! Ending the trip on a ferry back to Istanbul made it even more unforgettable…leaving behind a place that was way more fascinating than I ever imagined.
