The film opens with Barkha Khanna being mysteriously killed by a vengeful ghost, which is discovered by her husband, Karan Khanna, a political figure from England. Soon, the Metropolitan Police arrest Karan, accusing him of murdering his wife. Simran, a lawyer struggling with stress, morphine dependency, and personal losses—including her father’s recent death and a breakup with her judge boyfriend—is persuaded by Karan's campaign manager, Bob, to take on Karan’s case. Simran learns that Karan and Barkha’s marriage was troubled. On Valentine’s Day, Karan saw someone sending a locket to Barkha, leading him to suspect an affair, and he began an affair himself. CCTV footage, however, implicates Karan in Barkha’s murder. Karan insists he spent the night at Bob’s apartment, but Bob is soon killed by the same ghost that killed Barkha. Simran investigates further, discovering that Karan was with a mysterious girl the night Barkha died, a detail missing from police reports. Consulting a demonologist, it’s revealed that both Karan and the girl were possessed, causing Karan to unknowingly kill Barkha. Barkha had been in a secret lesbian relationship with the girl, marrying Karan for fame and money. When the girl attempted to blackmail Barkha, she was sent to a mental institute where she met Simran’s father. The girl committed suicide to enact revenge as a ghost, gifting a locket containing her power to Simran’s father to deliver to Barkha. During an exorcism with her ex-boyfriend, Simran confronts the ghost, which possesses Karan. She breaks the locket just in time, saving Karan and proving his innocence. Karan and Simran confess their love, celebrating his election victory.
