MESSAGE: BEARING THE COST

Salvation is about bearing the cost; doing something beyond the ordinary. The Bible documents a Shunammite woman who was barren, and also, her husband was too old to bear a child nonetheless. Her decision to build a house for prophet Elisha was a huge cost that she willingly undertook, and from that act, God's favor of childbearing was proclaimed on her regardless of her hesitation. See 2 Kings 4:8-17. God gave his only begotten son to redeem humans. See John 3:16-. We too, need to bear all the cost by forsaking all, adorning the fear of the Lord, in order to please God the father.
