Linda struggles to Blaenau Ffestiniog in the rain 12/06/16

Part 4 of my videos from North Wales On the Sunday 12th June, during the morning rain was falling and the second train of the day due to leave Ffestiniog Railway behind ex-Penrhyn loco Linda. It was going to be very interesting to an light footed loco with 7 coaches behind it over the steep climb to Blaenau Ffestiniog in the light raining. Although the rain stopped as we approaches Rhiw Goch but however the climb though the forest towards Tan Y Bwlch was a different story, it was still very damp with rain drops hitting the rails and my poor camera saw the loco slipping a number of times but still she manage to bring the train to Tan Y Bwlch without a stall! Great work from the crew even we ended up a few locations walking speed! Leaving Tan Y Bwlch and heading to Dduallt was the same as approaching to Tan Y Bwlch. Though the new Moelwyn Tunnel and passing Llyn Ystradua saw Linda stalled but with a bit of hand from the sand laid on the rails re-started with ease to the last section to Blaenau Ffestiniog. It was rather interesting to see Linda struggling and the bark from her is simply amazing :D Enjoy!
