A floor my feet can’t quite touch Still I keep trying to walk This place is my heaven And my deepest prison Hanging time tightens slowly around me An empty chair, someone’s lingering weight My face dissolves into the wall Everyone but me Like frames rewound too fast Fading into the mist beyond the glass In this blurred and breaking time I drift through the room like a ghost Without a sound Could I vanish unseen? I scream against the windowpane But only cold silence comes back Am I still here, Or already gone?
