Reading at an appropriate pace and 2. Understanding what they're reading. 2️⃣ Give your child a preview: Find out what the text is about before your child reads it. Look at the pictures and think about what it might be about, read key words, or read the text to them yourself first. 3️⃣ Correct every incorrect word immediately, but with a warm smile. 4️⃣ Success log: Practice the text 4 times. Each time, your child times the word with your phone, and you count the mistakes.
