The world, its systems, the devil, circumstances, and even parents have been tagging, labelling, and naming children based on what they see, experience, or fear. The Bible tells us: “And as her soul was departing (for she died), she named him Ben-Oni (son of my sorrow); but his father called him Benjamin (son of the right hand).” Genesis 35:18 Rachel named him according to her pain and sorrow, but his father gave him a different name, one that spoke of honour, strength, and identity. In the same way, the Father is giving every child A NEW NAME that aligns with His calling and purpose for their lives. That negative name, label, diagnosis, condition, or description is not their true identity. The name God gives is the right name. The name He speaks over them is the true name. They are not children of sorrow. They are children of His right hand. May we see them as God sees them, call them what God calls them, and agree with His purpose for their lives.
