Large Abstract Watercolor May 2020

Buy Original Paintings at: www.scottswinson.com In this large abstract watercolour I paint in a similar style to Lena Gemzoe. One of my subscribers asked if I would demonstrate a technique that sounded like hers. So here it is! A few simple colours and a butter soft container lid! No brushes were harmed in the production of this painting! It has beautiful hard edges and soft edges. I use a lot of wet in wet and the spray bottle. I mounted the full sheet of paper to mdf but the board could have been smaller to allow me to tilt it more easily. The colours used were: lamp black, indigo, paynes grey, burnt sienna and raw sienna. The paper was Rives BFK Arches etching paper The brush was a cut out butter soft lid and a huge hake brush but you could use any large brush. Any questions let me know.
