Both have 2.7-liter gasoline engines, but with different power outputs: the UAZ Hunter produces 135 Russian horsepower, while the UAZ Bukhanka produces slightly less at 112. And the Hunter has 20 Nm more torque. The UAZ Hunter has a five-speed gearbox, while the UAZ Bukhanka uses a Russian gearbox. The ground clearance and wheels of the SUVs differ, but their wheelbases are very similar. And of course, the only thing they have in common is their color. The prices are very close. What can you get for 1.6 million, considering Russian winters and off-road conditions? As our test showed, no modern car can handle such mud. But the UAZ will happily go, and we have two with winches. We drove the SUVs on asphalt at traffic speed, accelerated to 100 km/h, assessed the interiors, and, of course, tested whether our off-roaders could handle a deep puddle. Both SUVs worked flawlessly, performed flawlessly, and are suitable for muddy off-road conditions. However, if a large interior and trunk are more important to you, choose the UAZ Bukhanka; the UAZ Hunter is a more versatile vehicle.
