Dozens of tactical vehicles belonging to the Indonesian National Police Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) were on standby as part of the ongoing investigation into several alleged corruption cases. Observations at the scene revealed several tactical vehicles parked in the headquarters area and remaining on standby. These vehicles included one Todak armored vehicle, one Barracuda, four Rimueng vehicles, four crowd control vehicles (Raisa), one water cannon, four trucks, seven buses, and dozens of Brimob motorcycles. In addition to the tactical vehicles, dozens of Brimob personnel were also seen standing guard at several points around the Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters. Platoon tents were even set up at the headquarters' exits as part of the security preparedness. Security has been tightened in line with the police investigation into three alleged corruption cases: the alleged corruption case involving the coal-fired power plant (PLTU), PT Asabri, and Krakatau Steel. Previously, several Brimob tactical vehicles were also deployed during searches at several locations, including a shophouse on Jalan Asem III, Cipete. Barracuda vehicles were used to transport evidence, including a safe suspected of being related to the cases being investigated. The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, confirmed the tightened security at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police headquarters. According to him, this measure was taken because all confiscated evidence is being stored at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters, which also serves as a location for witness examination. He explained that comprehensive security measures, both internally and externally, are being implemented to ensure the safety of all evidence during the investigation.
