Shigesuzu offers delicious, reasonably priced lunches and is popular not only with office workers but also with women. I find it to be a very fair and wallet-friendly shop, with affordable à la carte options like soup and salad. Momoya is a shop that serves savory-filled breads—a true "soul food" of Numazu—that I frequented often during my student days. They offer two types of sauce for the bread: a sweet glaze and a savory sauce; personally, I’m definitely on Team Sweet Glaze. While the soul-food bread is delicious, their dango (sweet rice dumplings) are also excellent and highly recommended!
