How AirTags Work

Apple recently introduced AirTags, and if you aren’t familiar with item trackers, you may not understand the point of this $29 white plastic puck. They are similar to a product called Tile, but offer many advantages like Ultra-Wide band technology thanks to Apple's custom U1 chip, and a built-in speaker. So what exactly are AirTags?
