CERRO LA REGLA, ZONA LA PUNTA: Una ruta complicada de ascenso (San Martín de Porres y El Callao)

SHARING KNOWLEDGE IN A FREE AND ACCESSIBLE WAY FOR ALL: We present the ascent to the summit of Cerro La Regla via a more challenging route. We introduce our classmates from the "Virgen de las Mercedes" school in the San Martín de Porres district, after having climbed this prominent peak in the district. In this section, which belongs to a longer video, we describe the ascent via a route we didn't take previously. Specifically, the ascent to the summit from "La Cueva" (The Cave), via the South route, which appears as a point immediately after the aforementioned opening. This ascent isn't very long, as it only involves a few meters of elevation gain; however, its peculiarity lies in the danger of the climb, as it places us on a path with a very steep abyss on both sides. If someone were to slip, they would practically not reach the ground unharmed. We repeat, it's not difficult because of its length or duration; The real challenge lies in the danger of crossing the short distance it covers. As we've mentioned, any lapse in attention could be fatal. Our companions on this journey are Michel, Leonardo, Noé, and Álvaro.
