Ostinato in 7/4 - Moog One Improvisation

The Moog One is basically three synths in one. In this little example I laid down an ostinato in 7/4 on synth 2 which delivers an upper pedal tone for the improvised part on synth 1. An expression pedal is assigned to both synths opening up filters and envelopes. The basic idea behind this little piece was to use the ostinato as a kind of a metronomic device to improve my right hand technique, dexterity and overall timing. The pedal tone is also a cool exercise to expand one's harmonic imagination. It's one of my favourite things to do in music.
