Hi everyone, I realized I forgot to put the subtitles in this video, so I uploaded it again with the subtitles and it is marked in the title. Please find the next uploaded video for the full experience. I'm learning how to embroider the skirt decoration of a woman's chemise (shirt) from Vidin region. I saw the shirt at the museum "Krastata kazarma" in Vidin and thought it was beautiful in its simplicity. I also talk about the meaning of the figures as I interpret it after reading the books of Yulia Boeva "The Wisdom of the Great Mother" and Iren Velichkova-Yamami "Archaic Symbols in Embroidery". They trace the origins of the figures found in Bulgarian and other Eastern-European (and other folk) embroidery in writings and signs from the stone age. As far as I know, their books are only available in Bulgarian at the moment. Те намират източника на фигурите в българската везба, и везбата на много източноевропейски и други народи, във знаци останали още от каменната епоха по нашите земи.
