mãe!: como (não) interpretar um filme? | mimimidias

Mother! premiered in 2017, and YouTube was flooded with videos "explaining" the film. When the "film explained" phenomenon reached Darren Aronofsky's film, it was quite ugly to see: dozens of channels made essentially the same videos listing the film's biblical correspondences: the author is God, the visitor is Adam, his wife is Eve, and so on. While it's interesting to identify the facets of an allegory, interpreting a film is much more than that! In today's video, we attempt to undo the damage done two years ago, presenting an analysis of the film that goes far beyond seeking the allegory's correspondences. -- Many thanks to our supporters for making this video possible!
