Swapnil Tembe is an IAS officer, who is currently the director of school education in Meghalaya. He is just 35 years old and has already achieved so much. He got a rank of 84 in UPSC examinations and is a former student from IIT Kharagpur. Swapnil is working very hard to promote chess in Meghalaya and make chess parks in all 12 districts of the state. IM Sagar Shah was in Meghalaya for two days for the promotion of chess in the state and he spent a lot of time with Swapnil. The way in which Swapnil functioned and behaved was highly impressive.
