Fraud Matters (Housing Matters) $4 Million Dollar Loss so far at Live Oak Landing in Santa Cruz, CA

FRAUD MATTERS Live Oak Landing $4 million spent, No one housed! Day services closed on Coral Street, but the sweeps continue. PROTEST THE FRAUD AT HOUSING MATTERS Starting at 4pm 2950 Soquel Ave., Live Oak The motel is on Soquel Avenue near a Highway 1 on-ramp. The inn is expected to open in early October 2025 as temporary housing for people struggling with homelessness. IT WAS NEVER OPENED!! Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors in June 2025 approved spending $500,000 of Measure K tax money on the project. The money was going to spent on a Housing Matters navigation center, but shifted to this project. In April 2024, the City of Santa Cruz and Housing Matters received $4 million in state money to develop 20-25 units of interim housing. Why did HM cut off toilet, water, washing, mail, & electric facility to the Coral refugees on April 1st? ... Why instead is encampment assistance funding spent on regular police sweeps of Coral Street? ... Why has the City provided no additional space at Armory, HM, or elsewhere for them? ... Why have police neither answers nor receipts for those whose tents they regularly trash? ... When will HM and the Armory shelter account for the millions being diverted from homeless services? ... Why is the City ignoring the health danger created by the absence of toilet and washing facilities on Coral Street?
