1988 Specialized Stumpjumper Restomod Bike Check
Bike check for my retomodded 1988 Specialized Stumpjumper. No original parts were hurt in the restomodding of this bike. A one owner bike, I imported it back from Portland to the UK and proceeded to upgrade almost every component to turn it into a UK orientated gravel bike. This has a freshly laced set of Velocity Cliffhanger rims paired with Velo Orange hubs. Crust headset, Nitto Tallux quill stem with Nitto B177 drop bars. Dia Compe Friction shifters. Dia Compe front canti's with magic components straddle. The drivetrain is full XTR and the crank is Velo Orange double fluter paired to a 9 speed cassette. Contact points are Ultradynamico Cava's, Brooks B17 saddle and Newbaum bar tape.
