Allow to marinate for 10 minutes to 30 minutes. Add all the sauce ingredients in a separate bowl, combine and set aside. Place a wok over high heat. Once it starts to lightly smoke, add the vegetable oil and beef. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes or until a crust has formed and it's well browned. Or, stir fry to your liking. Add the garlic, ginger and brown (yellow) onion and stir for 1 minute, mixing well. Add in the mushrooms and continue stir-frying for 2-3 minutes or until the mushrooms have become golden and softened. Pour in the stir-fry sauce, mix well, and cook for 1 minute. Add the spring onion and stir-fry for 30 seconds. Remove and serve with Jasmine rice. Dig in. Jasmine Rice (Optional) -  200g (7.05oz) - Jasmine Rice, Washed 300g (300ml) - Cold Water  Salt To Taste  Aromatics (Optional) Method - Place a saucepan over high heat. Add in the rice, water, salt and optional aromatics. Mix to combine to prevent clumps and bring to a boil. Place on a lid, reduce the heat to low and cook for 12 minutes.
